This page is a tribute to a man that is very special to me!
He has amazing talent and a loving heart. He's the first male newcomer to ever have
a debut single to stay at #1 on Billboard for 4 weeks!!

     Kevin was raised in a large family with seven siblings and
numerous foster children.He lived in Weiser, Idaho and his family
moved to Sacramento,Calif.,where Kevin spend his high school years.
     In high school, Kevin was an athlete. He was on the football,
weightlifting and wrestling teams, and also sang in the choir.  
He started to experience fatique and sharp pains in his back and 
leg in his later high school years. Kevin made it through high 
school graduation and then was diagnosed with bone cancer, which
had spread to his lungs. Doctors wanted to amputate his left leg
,but Kevin refused. After several months of treatment, Kevin was
given only a short time to live.
     The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which tries to grant the requests
of the terminally ill,arranged to grant Kevin's wish to meet the 
Grammy-award winning producer, David Foster. David is known for his
work with artists such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Barbara
Streisand. Throughout Kevin's illness, David's music had been an
inspiration to him. After their meeting, Foster continued to call
Kevin on a regular basis to see how he was doing. They remained
friends thoroughout his illness.
     Since then Kevin's cancer has gone into remission. Several
years ago he started to pursue a singing career, and after years
of hard work and David Foster's help, he signed a contract with
Asylum Records in Nashville.
     His debut CD, Measure of a Man, has already produced the #1 hit,
"Nobody Knows". Foster brought the song to him and Kevin fell
in love with it because it expressed everything he felt during his
illness.
     Though Kevin is healed, a slight limp and a bald head serve as
subtle reminders of the things he once endured.Kevin's favorite place
to be is on stage and he forgets about all the things that life has
put him through when he is performing. He is currently on tour around
the country. Look for him in a town near you! 

The Make-A-Wish Foundation does incredible work with children who are terminally ill. They are to be commended for their tremendous efforts! They have been very instrumental in the Kevin's success!
